My recent work for the Dolly Pearl Lookbook 2017. I had so much fun working on this shoot with a talented bunch of girls. Everything about this collection is so beautiful that I had a difficult time picking out photos for my portfolio. A special thank you to the very talented Vi Hoang for the stunning photos. Below are some of my favorite looks. Please feel free to take a gander.
Tom Ford can never do no wrong, he is impeccable and not human at all. Is it even remotely possible to be that perfect? From his creative vision in fashion, film directing, and beauty—Mr. Ford truly has a strong and definite understanding of what it means to be chic, bold, timeless, and sexy.
Life has been hectic as usual but it is always a joy to squeeze in some time to be creative amidst life's mundaneness. It was such a pleasure to collaborate with such a talented bunch and photographers who introduced me into this new realm of film photography.
There are so many reasons I could tell you why I love New York City so much but of course with every city there are always pros and cons. I have to admit I absolutely detest the brutal winters here and this past winter was no exception--it was horrendous! Luckily, spring has arrived and as we're getting ready to shed off the winter weight for bikini season we must not forget to update our spring beauty regime! You can first start off by exfoliating and sloughing off the dead skin cells that have been accumulating throughout the winter if you haven't been up to par with the exfoliating!
"I LOVE NATURAL BEAUTY, AND I THINK IT'S YOUR BEST LOOK, BUT I THINK MAKEUP AS AN ARTIST IS SO TRANSFORMATIVE."
- MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS
As a makeup artist it's almost crucial to be very versatile when it comes to working with different looks. You really wouldn't know what to expect because in the fashion world it's an industry that is constantly changing, evolving, and recycling.
As a professional makeup artist and beauty aficionado, I know how important it is to invest in quality application tools. Personally, I think it does make a difference in your makeup application. Whether I'm artistically painting faces or using a paper canvas, the brushes are a huge factor in delivering quality work. There is just something about painting with fine sable hair, the perfect grip of the handle, the brass ferrules that holds the bristles together (a nuisance is the shedding of bristles on the face), and the precision-cut of the bristles for the perfect placement of color whether it's on a face or paper canvas.
